The Isles of Rum and Skye Cuillin Adventure June 2016
June was packed with Scottish Mountain Adventures. Following a successful Skye Cuillin ridge traverse with Simon I headed back to the North West Highlands to complete a traverse of Liathach and to help John and Helen complete their Skye Munros. As the weather held John and Helen added an extra day onto their trip to wiz across the Aonach Eagach ridge. Closer to home David and I enjoyed the Carn Mor Dearg Arete and the Aonach Eagach in more typical Scottish weather before the Rum and Skye Cuillin team set about their challenge. Despite the rain and gusting winds Katherine, David Andy and Colin worked hard carrying overnight packs for 10 hours on the Rum Cuillin Ridge; as we dropped down into Dibidl we had views for the first time and stunning ones they were. The following day we walked out of Dibidl to get the boat to visit Canna and then back to Mallaig and then another boat to Skye. The Innaccessible Pinnacle was first on our agenda and it has to be said some of the team were pleased their were no views! A day on Sgurr Nan Eag and Sgurr Dubh Mor and then another on Sgurr a Mhadaidh and Ghreadaidh finished this fantastic week. After such a successful trip I shall be running another Rum and Skye Cuillin adventure next June ( Give me a call or drop me an e mail if your interested).
Now its time to Fly again with another visit to the Indian Himalaya with students from Royal Grammar Worcester and Ted who has decided he is not too old for another expedition.

Our three days together were absolutely wonderful and will remain in our memory for ever. Thank you Adele and, if you can bear it, here's to the next outing!
