Scottish Winter Update 22nd Dec 2015

After a quick break to Calpe and some dry warm rock the winter up here in Scotland got off to a good start. Bobby and Derek enjoyed two days out on Buchaille Etive Beag and Ben Nevis. As Sid arrived for his four days of winter mountaineering the temperatures went through the roof and it was a barmy 14 degrees in Fort William. Not loosing our enthusiasm we battled on and had an excellent week dry tooling, navigating, ascending and descending Curved Ridge, setting up belays and experiencing the Vertical descents Via Ferreta

The weather is still very unsettled with storm force winds but the snow is returning. Rod and his family are awaiting the chance to get out to do some winter skills over the Christmas period and I am hoping to get my skis back on.

Happy Christmas and here is to another year of Mountain Adventures
