Autumn News from the Costa Blanca Nov 2021
September and October were busy months for APM working on the hills and crags of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. The weather at the start of October was rather unsettled but I did manage to grab a few days on the Isle of Skye and even managed a full day of dry rock at Neist point climbing with Simon.
In the Middle of October Janet Picket came for her annual pilgramidge to Scotland and we celebrated our 13th Anniversary of climbing Everest together in 2008. The weather could only be described as grim but we enjoyed the Tarmachan Ridge and some Munros closer to Fort William.
On the 18th October the weather was just superb for the three ladies (Corby Girls) to ascend Curved Ridge before a cold snap arrived and I managed to grab a personal day out wandering over the Fiacall Ridge Coire an t’ Sneachda.
To finish off my Autumn season I had the privilege of working on the Martin Moran Foundation, Mountain Adventure Programme. A fantastic week working with eight motivated students learning the skills of hill walking, mountaineering and rock climbing. To find out more about the foundation or make a donation visit http://www.martinmoranfoundation.co.uk
It was then time to down tools as to speak and set off on my holidays… Everything didn’t quite go to plan but now Im in Spain enjoying some climbing and walking before the snow arrives for another busy winter season.

Our three days together were absolutely wonderful and will remain in our memory for ever. Thank you Adele and, if you can bear it, here's to the next outing!
