More Detail

Whether or not you’re a hill walker looking to test your nerve on some scrambles or a scrambler/ rock climbing needing some rope work practice then the Lake District is a great place to be.

Striding and Swirrel Edges on Helvellyn , Sharp Edge on Blencathra and Jacks Rake on Pavey Ark never disappoint and are a great starting point for the novice scrambler.

More challenging scrambles can be found close to the road at Shepherds Crag (Jack Daw Ridge) or higher on a fine selection of Mountains.

Pinnacle Ridge on St Sunday Crag, Cam Crag Ridge in Langstrath and Easy Terrace ( that is not so easy ) on Dow crag are just some of the three star routes open to those seeking a little more adventure.

The Lake district is also an ideal place to transfer those scrambling skills onto some easier multi- pitch climbs.
