An expedition is really a journey with a purpose and whether or not you are thinking about trekking in Nepal, climbing a remote mountain, ticking off one of the Seven summits or having your first adventure to some mountains closer to the UK then it is important that you have a memorable, safe experience and spend your money wisely.

To inspire you with some ideas here are a few of the expeditions Adele has organised and guided over the past 5 years.

Alpine Activity Week 5 days. The European Alps are a stunning playground to enjoy rock climbing, Via Ferreta, Alpine peaks, walking, rafting and many more activities. A multi activity week makes sure you experience the best of what the Alps has to offer. With easy access from the UK this can be an action packed week where you can have a taste of several different activities during the day and relax in the comfort of some superb accommodation and the delights of European cuisine and wine in the evenings.

Spanish Rock 3 to 7 days. The Costa Blanca is an excellent destination for some winter sun and rock climbing. Low cost flights and accommodation makes this an ideal place to start or fine tune your rock climbing without battling with the weather.

Sierra Nevada Mulhacen (4 to 5 days). Mulhacen (3482m) is the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula and continental Spain. It can be easily reached from Granada or Malaga airports. Starting from Capillera we ascend to the refuge Poqueira through some beautiful countryside. Once established in the hut we can spend some time training you with the use of ice axe and crampons before tackling the mountain. An ascent takes between 4 to 7 hours and is technically straight forward. We can either return to the refuge or back to the valley. This is an ideal inexpensive trip for those of you with limited time or those who want to test themselves on a mountain outside the UK.

The Atlas Mountains Morocco (4 -10 days). Morocco is a fascinating place to visit and many of you will have heard about Toubkal which is an ideal peak to climb if youre wanting your first taste of altitude. In addition to Toubkal there are many other mountains and trekking routes that will take you more remote mountains and really let you explore the Atlas Mountains.

Mt Kenya Climb or Trek 10 days. Climbing to the true summits of Mt Kenya Neilion (5188m) and Batian ( 5199m) is a truly wonderful experience and requires determination and good rock climbing skills. If you prefer trekking then Pt Lenana (4985m) or a circuit of the mountain afford fantastic scenery and great trekking.

Nepal Trekking and Mountaineering (2 weeks to 1 month). As we all know Nepal is a truly wonderful place that has suffered much devastation in the last few months. There are so many options of trekking and peaks to climb. With 17 years of experience of trekking and climbing in Nepal Adele can advice you on which itinerary would suite your aspirations.

South America Trekking and Mountaineering (2 weeks to a month). Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru host some magnificent mountains and trekking options. Having trekked and climbed extensively in these countries Adele will be delighted to discuss any itinerary you have in mind.

Every year Adele also leads expeditions for Jagged Globe so please do not hesitate to ask which expeditions she will be leading next. Look out on Adele’s blog for latest news on trips.
